I saw Haiku Tunnel yesterday. It's one of those movies that I've heard about, like, 'if you like Office Space, you should check out Haiku Tunnel.' I liked it. It was a good movie. Funny. All that good stuff. 'I can never say 'I'm a secretary' it always comes out 'I'm just a secretary.' Don't you just love my in-depth reviews of movies?
The Angels are playing the Orioles. Good, means the Angels will win some fucking games. They won the first two, make it a sweep, come on; before you get your asses beat by the A's. *sigh*
And the hockey free-agent season started Monday. It's been fucking crazy. Players signing in places that make you go 'Wha...?' and scratch your head. But that's kinda the point of the new CBA, talent more spread around, more teams being competitive. The Flyers already went ahead and went over the cap, they've got some trading to do. The Kings haven't done much, yet. They've added Pavol Demitra, good signing. They signed a couple minor leaguers. They need to re-sign the young players; they can't lose them. And hopefully the addition of Demitra, a Slovak, will help Ziggy Palffy, another Slovak (and friend of Demitra), decide to stay with the Kings. The Blues traded Chris Pronger to the Oilers. Everyone knew they couldn't keep Pronger and most likely qualified him just so they could trade him and not lose him and get nothing in return. He's subsequently signed with the Oilers. That just seems so wrong. I can't picture him in an Oiler uniform. It's gonna be an interesting season this year, should be fun.
I called the CSU Northridge housing today to ask about the letter with details about move-in; the letters for my building were mailed on Friday, so should probably be getting it tomorrow. That's good news.
I emailed the guy I'll be sharing my bedroom with on Monday, just a 'Hello, my name's Richard Homer' and, you know, that I'm a CTVA major, transfer; got a reply tonight. Need to start talking about who will bring what. I suppose I should probably email the two guy in the other bedroom, since there will be a shared living area.
I was thinking about going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tomorrow, but I remembered today that a friend of mine is in town for a few days, so I thought I'd give her a call tomorrow instead and probably see Charlie before or after my orthodontist appointment on Monday, as I'm sure that it'll still be playing at the theater across the street; don't know about in town, you never can tell (with a total of 6 screens in town, movies come and go with relative quickness).
I miss the drive-in theater. That was awesome. $5 a car, two movies. I miss that place. I wish it was still open. Drive-in's are just fucking cool.
So, anyway, that's all I've got to say. Bye.
